Itinerary
 
Day 1, December 23, 2008 VIENNA
Embarkation for the MS AMADEUS PRINCESS begins in Vienna at 4:00PM. Once you have become familiar with the layout of your floating hotel, our cruise manager invites you to have a cocktail prior to the welcome dinner. After dinner enjoy a Christmas concert in the panorama bar. The vessel is scheduled to depart at 11:00 p.m.

Day 2, December 24, 2008 DUERNSTEIN
This morning the ship reaches Duernstein, one of the famous villages of the scenic Wachau area. The Beauties of the Wachau excursion includes a city walk of Duernstein, followed by a stop in Melk, where you will tour its magnificent Benedictine Abbey, one of Europe's largest monasteries. Afterwards, return to Weissenkirchen where you are invited to a "Gluehwein-Party" in the well-known Teisenhofer Hof. After enjoying an outstanding Christmas dinner, you may attend the Christmas Mass at the Cathedral of Duernstein.

Day 3, December 25, 2008 PASSAU
The ship reaches Bavaria's well known city of Passau, which is at the confluence of three rivers (Donau, Inn and Ilz) this afternoon. There will be a guided city walk that will familiarize you with the sights of this lovely small city. The MS AMADEUS PRINCESS will depart from Passau at 5:30 p.m.

Day 4, December 26, 2008 REGENSBURG
We reach Regensburg, our next destination, at 9 a.m. This city, which enchants all of its visitors with almost 1,400 historic buildings, is one of Germany's best preserved medieval cities. Absorb the most important sights of Regensburg during the guided city tour. The ship departs the city at 6:00 p.m., when all of its beautiful buildings will be illuminated, as the cruise continues towards Nuremberg via the Main/Danube-Canal.

Day 5, December 27, 2008 NUREMBERG
The MS AMADEUS PRINCESS docks in Nuremberg around 1:00 p.m. Nuremberg is a city with a long history, and the afternoon city tour will provide you with a good impression of its cultural and historic significance. On the final evening of your trip the captain invites you to a special gala dinner. Dance the night away to the live music in the Panorama Bar, performed by the musicians which have been entertaining you throughout the cruise.

Day 6, December 28, 2008 NUREMBERG
Disembark after breakfast, by 9:00 a.m. Your cruise ends here. Or you may choose to join our post-cruise "New Year's in Vienna" Program – please call and ask for details.
