Itinerary
 
Day 1, December 29, 2008 PASSAU
Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. The MS AMADEUS PRINCESS departs at 6:00 p.m. Sail toward Vienna through the lovely stretch of the Danube “Schloegener Schlinge.” A complimentary cocktail will be served at the Panorama Bar, followed by the welcome dinner.

Day 2, December 30, 2008 VIENNA
Arriving in Vienna at approximately 1:00 p.m., you will have the day to enjoy this metropolis. See all the important sights on our Vienna sightseeing tour. The ship leaves the port at 6:00 p.m. heading for Budapest. During dinner, let yourself be carried away by famous Viennese “Heurigen” music.

Day 3, December 31, 2008 BUDAPEST
Arrive at approximately 10:30 a.m. in Budapest, “The Queen of the Danube.” In the morning, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Budapest. The afternoon is at your leisure. Stroll through shopping malls, or visit the Museum of Fine Arts. The highlight of this cruise is of course the big New Year’s Eve (“Sylvester”) party aboard the MS AMADEUS PRINCESS. Enjoy an unforgettable evening cruise with glorious views of the beautiful floodlit buildings on both banks of the river. The evening begins with a gala dinner in the restaurant, followed by the party in the Panorama Bar. Ring in the New Year on the dance floor.

Day 4, January 1, 2009 BUDAPEST
The “morning after” calls for a rather special breakfast! At about 11:00 a.m., the ship departs from Budapest. Enjoy the entire day onboard, as the ship glides past the beautiful winter scenery. Your cruise director will advise you what is in store for the day. Join in various activities onboard, if you wish.

Day 5, January 2, 2009 BRATISLAVA - MELK
Dock in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, around 8:00 a.m. Enjoy the guided tour of Bratislava. In the afternoon, you may stroll through the city’s narrow lanes, browse its shops, watch the pulse of the city at the main square, or visit the Museum of Fine Arts. The MS AMADEUS PRINCESS departs at 7:00 p.m., sailing toward Melk.

Day 6, January 3, 2009 MELK
After your noontime arrival in Melk, the guided excursion to the world famous Benedictine Abbey of Melk will begin. The ship will leave Melk at 5:30 p.m., and cast off for your return to Passau. Enjoy the charming scenery as you pass through the Strudengau stretch of the Danube. On your last evening, the captain invites you to a gala farewell dinner. Dance the night away in the Panorama Bar, while the ship’s exceptional orchestra entertains you for the last time.

Day 7, January 4, 2009 PASSAU
Arrive back in the city of Passau at 9:30 a.m., and disembark by about 10:00 a.m.
