Day 1

Frankfurt - Eisenach - Weimar - Zwickau (D)

Your tour departs from Frankfurt Airport’s Meeting Point in Terminal 1 at 9:00 am. Drive to Eisenach, and visit one of the most important edifices of German History, the Wartburg Castle. While inside, stop at the room where Luther lived and worked for many years and spent his last years in seclusion. Continue to Weimar, one of Germany´s greatest cultural treasures. Poets such as Schiller and Goethe, musicians Liszt and Strauss, writers Nietzsche and Gropius have all lived and worked here. On to Zwickau, where during the German Democratic Rebuplic era, the popular German car, the Trabbi was built. In the evening enjoy your 3-course Welcome Dinner with welcome drink. Overnight at ACHAT Hotel, or similar.
 

Day 2

Zwickau - Dresden - Meißen - Leipzig (B)

After breakfast, depart for Dresden. During this day‘s tour, you will see one of the lovliest cities of central Europe – “Florence of the Elbe” as it was known – and see the important sights, like the beautifully restored Frauenkirche, the Semper Opera House, Green Vault, the Baroque Zwinger and many more. Continue to Meißen, where we will pay a visit to the world famous porcelain manufacturer and museum before heading to Leipzig. Overnight at Hotel Mercure, or similar.
 

Day 3

Leipzig - Wittenberg - Potsdam - Berlin (B)

This morning enjoy a city tour of Leipzig, including St. Thomas Church, where J.S. Bach spent many years as director of the choir, Auerbachs Cellar and more. Continue via Luther´s Wittenberg, where reformation started when he pinned his 95 thesis to the portal of the church. The tour continues via Potsdam and Sanssoucis Castle to Berlin, where you check in to Express by Holiday Inn at Anhalter Bahnhof, or similar.

Day 4

Berlin (B)

Today we visit all the main sights of Germany´s most important and exciting city. See Brandenburg Gate, Check Point Charlie, the Parliament Reichstag, Berlin cathedral and the former seat of the communist government of East Germany. Also included in our city tour is a boat trip which allows you to view some of these important sights from the channels. The remainder of the day is free for your own activities with time to explore Berlin’s numerous museums, boutiques and department stores.
 

Day 5

Berlin (B)

After breakfast, your tour is concluded. Transfer on own to Berlin Airport for your transatlantic flight home. Or continue your journey and join us for the Berlin and Fairytales Tour.
