Detailed Itinerary
 
Day 1
Departure on a scheduled airline to Venice from most major U.S. gateways.
 
Day 2
Morning arrival in Venice. Private transfer by motor-launch to your choice of first class/deluxe hotel. The day is at your leisure to relax and recover from your trip. A traditional Venetian dinner at a local restaurant is planned for this evening.
 
Day 3
After breakfast you will be escorted by a multi-lingual guide for a full day tour by private boat to the Islands in the Laguna. Stop at Murano, world famous for its blown glass, then on to Burano, a colorful fisherman's island where lace craft is still alive and women and girls work at it sitting in the streets. Delightful Torcello comes last where you will visit St. Mary Assunta Cathedral housing a unique mosaic called the Universal Judgement and St. Fosca Church to relive the past of the first lagoon inhabitants. Dinner is on your own.
 
Day 4
Following breakfast there will a half-day walking tour of the city of Venice. A visit to St. Marks Square and the interior of St. Mark's Basilica famous for its Byzantine and Gothic design and for the richness of its mosaics, marbles and precious sculptures. The visit continues to the famous Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Old Prisons. The tour ends with a visit to a glass blowing factory to admire the superb skill of glassblowing masters at work.. Dinner is on your own.
 
Day 5
Buffet breakfast. Spend the day at your leisure to enjoy some shopping and experience the optional romantic gondola ride along the Ventetian canals serenaded by traditional Italian arias and songs.
 
Day 6
Private transfer by motor-launch to the airport in Venice for your return flight back to United States.
